I have just installed Snap on Ubuntu 14.04 using “sudo apt-get install snap”. When I tried to install a snap, I got this error message: ZOE ERROR (from /usr/lib/snap/snap): error opening parameter fileZOE library version 2006-07-28 It turns out the you also need to install snapd. sudo apt-get install snapd Now it should just work.

If you are trying get sar working you might get this error message: “Cannot open /var/log/sysstat/sa08: No such file or directory”. Essentially, you need to enable data collection. You do this by editing /etc/default/sysstat nano /etc/default/sysstat Then change: ENABLED=”false” to ENABLED=”true” Hope this helps someone.
